WHO IS
DAVID BALE
David Bale is a magician based in Cambridge. He has performed magic since he was a child, dressing up in Chinese costume in imitation of Chung Ling Soo and performing to long-suffering family members.
David spent ten years as a librarian and, discovering acting at college while studying for his librarianship qualifications, then left and went to drama school. He then worked as an actor, mainly on stage, but also some television, film and radio. He has toured extensively to every theatre in the country, including Sadler’s Wells. Performed in John Godber’s ‘ Up ’n’ Under at the Fortune Theatre in the West End, as well as other London theatres and abroad Film includes Little Dorrit.
He has recently turned to performing magic, working with and being taught by one of this country’s leading magicians. Over the past years, he has performed shows and walk-around magic for private parties, Women’s Institutes, clubs, community organisations, charities, retirement housing complexes, children’s parties, street parties, businesses, even on board Cunard’s Queen Mary 2.
He loves the interaction with his audiences, to hear people laugh, and to perform mysterious wonders that make people happy !
